An award to commemorate bartenders that have worked in early 90s to early 2000s. We recognize that many of these individuals have shown selfless contribution. We call them our heroes, but they humbly tell us that anyone would do what they did. But, in many ways, anyone who steps up to make the night lively, is our hero.

These individuals are known as the backbone of bartenders. They assist in replenishing stocks, ice, glasses and other things that the bartender needs. Their role is very important as it determines the flow of the service by the bartenders. Here are the list of Bar Backs in no particular order:

Best Female Bartender Award

Gender does not differentiate a person to do what he or she could do. With determination and passion, this individual has proven that a female bartender can be on par with the male bartender. Most Supporting Flair Bartending

These individuals are known for curating cocktails, but nonetheless, their involvement in the flair scene is big. They have helped in advising on how to improve and incorporate cocktail into flair. Will be announced only on the actual day on 17 January 2019.

 

Bar Entrepreneur

These individuals started off as bartenders and had big dreams to become an entrepreneur. Today, these individuals have proven that being a bartender does not deter them from achieving something big in life, no matter what the profession is. Will be announced only on the actual day on 17 January 2019.

 

Bar Hero

This is a special award that goes to an individual that not only has made his name as one of the best flair bartenders in the 90s to early 2000s but is still contributing his time and effort to the industry even after no longer being as involved. Will be announced only on the actual day on 17 January 2019.

 

Bar Hero (Working Abroad)

This is a special award that goes to an individual that not only has made his name as one of the best flair bartenders in Singapore but is still contributing his time and effort to the industry “abroad”  leaving Singapore more than a decade of his bartending Career even after no longer being as involved in Singapore. Will be announced only on the actual day on 17 January 2019.

 

The Legendary Award (Those that are still currently working in the Industry) -25 Nominees

These are the individuals who have started off in the industry in the early 90s. They have been around for more than 20 over years and contributed effortlessly to the industry. Left with only a few pioneers that are still surviving, here are the bartenders that have been around to date to be where they always love to be.
